Steel tubes
ArcelorMittal manufactures spirally welded tubular foundation piles in its mill located in Dintelmond, The Netherlands, with diameters up to 2 845 mm, wall thicknesses up to 25 mm, and lengths up to 53 m (without butt-welding). The mill is located on the waterfront and owns a deep-water quay wall.
The table below gives an overview of steel tubes used in foundations (bearing piles, combined walls, etc). Other dimensions are available on request.
Steel tubes can be supplied in European steel grades according to EN 10219 or to international standard API 5L (American Petroleum Institute) / ISO 3183. The coils are manufactured in one of ArcelorMittal’s mills. Note: PSL = Product Specification Level.
Steel tubes can be provided with C9 connectors welded on the tube to form high strength retaining structures (combined wall systems). The tubes can be coated on the premises on request.
